DONTCLOSEIT helps communities turn concern into a structured preservation campaign: identify the place, explain the threat, collect supporter signatures, publish updates, and give admins the moderation tools needed to keep campaigns trustworthy.
DONTCLOSEIT is an experimental civic campaign prototype. Campaign facts, petitions, payment handling, and local legal requirements should be verified before public reliance.

The codebase models the full campaign surface: creator roles, place categories, threat narratives, support methods, supporter submissions, updates, moderation status, reports, verification, and featured listings.
Create the campaign
A four-step wizard captures the landmark, category, location, story, threat, desired outcome, support method, and launch settings.
Collect support
Supporters can sign with contact details, local context, optional messages, consent to updates, duplicate protection, and contribution prompts.
Publish updates
Creators can manage dashboards, campaign drafts, supporter messages, highlighted submissions, and campaign progress updates.
Moderate trust
Admins can verify campaigns, feature listings, review reports, hide or approve campaigns, resolve disputes, and moderate public comments.

Campaign categories include pubs, cafes, restaurants, independent shops, music venues, community spaces, leisure facilities, cultural venues, and other local assets. The platform keeps both advocacy and trust-and-safety visible.
Creator roles
Campaign creators can identify as owners, staff, residents, regular customers, or community organisers.
Support channels
Campaigns can collect internal signatures or point to external petition and consultation channels.
Abuse limits
The app includes duplicate signature checks, report limits, campaign limits, and draft limits.
Admin review
Moderation tools track pending reports, featured campaigns, verified sites, hidden messages, and campaign status changes.
